  • Brand new from our Ocarevolution line, this double ocarina offers some incredible features.

    Tuned in C Major, this ocarina uses standard English 6 hole fingering system. The bigger chamber (tenor) plays from B4 to E6 and the smaller chamber (soprano) plays from C6 to E7. Both chambers are now fully chromatic. You can also play two notes at the same time on this ocarina.

    We have included a complete fingering chart, as well as free video lessons to assist you in learning to play this ethereal instrument.

    Great sounding ocarina - but challenging!

    I love pendant ocarinas. But STL's double max range ocarina is a real challenge for dexterity. So be aware that it's going to take a lot of practice to play this one. It's likes having two 6 hole ocarinas, or really a 7 hole and a 6 hole.
    It sounds great. Even when playing only a single side at a time. While playing both sides you can create some interesting chord-like effects and haunting modal sounds. Simplest I found for me was using one half as a drone or a pedal tone assert a key, and suddenly it becomes an improvisational instrument where any melody just "works".
    I would say other than unique sound you get from the double chambers. The 8-hole extended range pendant ocarina is an easier instrument to play while having more range than upper register of the double. If you're really into pendant ocarinas, getting both is the maximum fun option. But don't get this double pendant ocarina first.

    Awesome little ocarina

    It takes some time to get used to the double chamber system... But when you do, this is the best little ocarina that is a double chamber you can buy... I also own the single chamber version both are a best value for the money

    I really like this one.

    This is currently my most used ocarina. I really like to play this one. I found that the additional hole for B, C#, and D# is good for making a B but I found that just half holding C and D gets a better tone. Also there is a high pressure requirement for playing the high C and D on the lower chamber but it is very possible.

    Switching chambers is really easy and it isn't to difficult to adjust the fingering between the lower and upper chamber. It really beautiful. I can't think of a better color palette.

    Ergonomically it is really easy to place fingers where they need to be with the indentations correlated to the fingers holes.

    The reason I am putting it at 4 stars is due to the two chambers just a hair out of tune from each other. They sound really close (much better that the coda chambers) but just not perfect. But really I wouldn't right it off for that. It is totally worth it especially if you like pendant ocarinas. I play exclusively pendant style so it was a must to add to my collection.
